Art II Art II is a class like no other art class you have taken so far in your school career. It is a relaxing and enjoyable classroom environment that allows for creative juices to flow. Unlike Art I, students will work on multiple self-lead project that allow students to have a bit more independence in the creation process. Students will also explore many art careers both through self- exploration and guest speaks. Students will be exposed to real life situations where they must meet with customers, brainstorm ideas, prepare works for customer consideration as well as working within production teams to execute a finished product.

Students will discover the early history of computers and how they have advanced over the years. Students will be introduced to the world of computer animation by creating their own animation in Adobe Flash. This will then lead into a Computer Aided Design Program that will teach you how to create a virtual 3D model. The last part of the semester is focused on game design and development. Students will learn what it takes to develop a video game and use these skills to create computer code to design your own video game. Multimedia (semester)

Tech: Design & Build (semester) Students will discover how to create, design, prototype and market a product they have developed. This class is intended to help students advance their skills in the engineering and design world, while learning how to operate shop equipment.

Academic Assist If all of your required courses have been taken & there is room in your schedule, you may choose to take academic assist. You may have to make some tough choices – you only have 9 periods… You may take a semester or a full-year academic assist If you want an academic assist, please indicate that by circling it on your form.

Sample student schedule Please flip your scheduling form over. You should find a sample scheduling worksheet for you to use to make sure you select enough classes. List classes that you will take (required & optional) until you reach 9 periods. Don’t forget lunch!

Automatic High School Credit Algebra I, Global language, Biology, etc. are taken for high school credit. You cannot choose whether or not to accept the credit – it will automatically appear on your high school transcript. High school transcripts are used in the college acceptance process, military enlistment process, and are viewed by prospective employers. If you take a high school class and do not like the grade you receive, you can retake the class and the new grade will replace the old grade.
