Moving Courses from prev. Moodle Site to New One SAIE SLT (School Leadership Team)

Course Content on the Old Site: This course was created but not instructed last trimester. It will be taught in the upcoming trimester.

Want to Move it to New Moodle Site New Moodle Site is created for each Trimester. No ideal solution in Moodle to accommodate sequential school terms.

Backup Course in the Old Site

Backup: Next Step – default is good Keep things at default and click next. Same on the next page.

The backup file and Let us do it. The above is the backup file that will be downloaded to your laptop. Let us do it.

Download your backup file Click and download the backup file It will be used to restore your course to next site.

Create a New Course in the New Site A course is needed to receive the backup.

Restore the course content to New Site’s “New” course. Now click “Restore” on Course Administration Panel to restore new course. Drop the backup file into here in the next page:

Restore and Boom! Restore and then “Restore into this course”.

Just a few more “next”

Done and Don’t Worry All Course Contents in “old” F2014.usapschool.com (online.usapschool.com) has been backed-up. If you accidentally destroy anything, no problem.
