Content of slides 1. General information – 1.1. Investment design 2. Bearing system – 2.1 General description 3. Actions on structures 4. Erection 5. Technical parameters 6. Interesting construction details

1. General information Date: 2006 Price: app EUR Investor: Darija and Simon Brlek, Mekinje nad Stično 67 Design studio: Elea IC, Construction company: Jaris d.o.o., Location: suburban, Mekinje nad Stično 67, Slovenia Materials used: reinforced concrete, timber, steel frame, OSB structural plates, blown-in wood fiber insulation, plaster hardboards, polyethylene foil, decorative facade roughcast, XPS, fasade plates AGEPAN THD, polystyrene, hydroinsulation, plaster, glue, ceramics,....

1. General information 1.1. Investment design The structure is family house dimensions 12 x 8,2 m with basement ground floor and garret. Main target in design was low energy consumption family residence.

2. Bearing system 2.1. General description The structure is family house with: concrete basement, wooden structure with steel frame of the ground floor and wooden structure of the garret.

Prefabricated outside walls as timber frame. 2. Bearing system

Outside walls as timber frame with the final configuration: 1. Contact facade: 0,6 cm 2. Fasade plate: Agepan THD 6 cm 3. Timber frame structure with blown-in wood fiber insulation: 16 cm 4. OSB plate: 1,5 cm 5. Instalation channel with blown-in wood fiber insulation: 5 cm 6. 2 layers of gypsum plaster board: 2 x 1,25 cm 2. Bearing system

3x steel beam on steel columns due the earthquake loading, HEA 160, S235JR

2. Bearing system Roof support.

3. Actions on structure Applied actions on structures for the calculation: 1.Dead load 2.Live loadp = 2.0 kN/m 2 3.Snows 0 = 1.27 kN/m 2 4.Wind on roofw 0 = 0.16 kN/m 2 5.Wind on wallw 0 = 0.45 kN/m 2 6.Acceleration of the foundation0,20 g

3. Actions on structure Applied actions of structure on the foundation plate.

4. Erection Wooden structure and steel reinforcement of the ground floor is placed on the reinfored concrete plate (15 cm) covered with the hydroinsulation (1 cm), followed with thermal insulation XPS (20cm), PE foil and reinfored concrete plate (20 cm). Load carrying outside walls were prefabricated frames covered with OSB plates on one side. Wooden structure of the garret and roof.

4. Erection Thermal insulation of the foundation plate

4. Erection Assembly of the structural elements

4. Erection Covering with the fasade plates.

4. Erection Final shape.

5. Technical parameters Ground plan size:12 x 8,2 m Number of above-ground floors:2 Type of roof construction:35º Construction of external walls:Timber frame with OSB on the one side and fasade plates on the other side filled with the blown-in wood fiber insulation. Reinforcement of the ground floor:3 x steel beam on two steel columns for the earthquake loading, HEA 160, S235JR Thermal transmittance for external walls: U = 0,13 W m -2 K -1 Thermal transmittance for roof:U = 0,10 W m -2 K -1 Heat loss at project temp. -16 o CQ loss = W.

5. Interesting construction details Design of the foundation plate insulation.

5. Interesting construction details Roof support design.

5. Interesting construction details Filling the blown-in wood fiber insulation.
