Southwood Practice Patient Participation Group Southwood Practice Caring for You

What is the PPG? A group of people joining together in a voluntary capacity to enhance the Practice by working alongside the doctor and nurses on behalf of and representing the patients. Southwood Practice

What does it involve? Primarily we do ask members to attend a PPG meeting every 8-10 weeks (always in the evening) This is to discuss issues affecting your Practice, and helping the surgery to deliver the best service it can. Southwood Practice

What else does the PPG do? Help with patient clinics from time to time. (eg: Flu clinic) Help to distribute patient survey forms in surgery. Occasionally attend National PPG Seminars. Assist in producing the Southwood Practice Newsletter. Proof read Practice literature. Develop self help projects to meet the needs of fellow patients. All the above are not obligatory but even the smallest input is of great value. Southwood Practice

Did you know? Nurse Sue is a prescribing nurse and runs a minor illness clinic most days for patients over 16years of age. You can book to see Sue for a variety of ailments including coughs, colds, allergic rashes, earache, cystitis and D&V. Ask at reception Southwood Practice
