Registration of dependant Children (1/2) of nationality with residence Visa Restrictions in France According to French Regulations so far, children of Users up to 16 years of age did not need a residence card for residing in France.  Recently in 2 cases airlines refused to let children without residence permit card travel back to France.  Users’ Office and Relation with the Host States helped for them to receive a VISA  Therefore we recommend that Users residing in France ask for the residence card for their dependant children right upon arrival (in any case no later than 3 months upon arrival data) ACCU Meeting 10th of March Users' Office - D. Registration of dependant Children (2/2) of nationality with residence Visa Restrictions in France  Since last year: The French Foreign Ministry does not provide the residence permit for persons (including children) who resided in France for > =3 months  A solution is being discussed with the French Foreign Ministry for children of USERs who are already resident in France  Children of parents residing in France who are born in Switzerland must request a VISA (via CERN) at the French embassy in Geneva and once having received it request a residence permit at the Users’ Office. Newspaper in the Users’ Office  Since its origins the Users’ Office makes a selected set of daily newspapers available in its open space.  Currently these are  Tribune de Genève  Il Corriere Della Sera  Süddeutsche Zeitung  The Guardian  This service was useful at the times with no internet. Nowadays few people come and read these newspapers while they cost resources.  We therefore propose to stop this service and ask ACCU for its agreement. ACCU Meeting 10th of March Users' Office - D.
