SAFETY FIRST!!! EVERY CHILD STRONGER, EVERY LIFE LONGER!!!

WHAT IS SAFETY?  noun, plural safe·ties.  1. The state of being safe; freedom from the occurrence or risk of injury, danger, or loss.  2. The quality of averting or not causing injury, danger, or loss.

DIFFERENT AREAS  Traffic  Environmental  Online  Sports  Bike  Food

BRAIN STORM!  In your group, share with one another different safety tips/regulations that you may have already previously learned.  Did anyone think of similar safety tips?

What Are You Eating?  Food Label (Ingredients)  Expiration Date?  Quality Control  Where did it come from?  Look and Smell first!

Online Safety  Here are some examples of private information that you should never give out on the Internet:  full name  home address  phone number  Social Security number  passwords  names of family members  credit card numbers

What To Do!!!  Tell someone.  Walk away.  Resist the urge to retaliate or respond.  Report bullying to your service provider.  Block the bully.  Be safe online.

Activity  In your small groups work with one another to complete the assignment.  Refer back to your notes!!!
