The Three Warlocks

Once upon a time, there was a rich, happy king. Even though he had a lot of treasure, what he loved above all was his 18 year-old son. But they didn’t know that far, far, away, three warlocks named Slovakia, Zecho, and Malekith were planning to wreck havoc upon their land. They wanted to mutilate the king and prince, for they all wanted the kingdom, land, and the legendary Philosopher's Stone, a crimson stone which will grant the wielder immortality and turn any metal into gold.

The king had a skilled warlock experienced with the art of alchemy. The warlock’s job was to protect the Philosopher’s Stone. If he attempted to steal the stone he would die on the spot. The evil warlocks pondered over a way to accumulate the Philosopher’s Stone. They each had an idea. Malekith was going to create a dragon egg, Zecho was going to create a Chimera egg, a beast with the head of a lion, the tail of a snake and a fire- breathing goat head on it’s back. Finally, Slovakia created a gorgon, a creature with a stare that can turn people into stone. After month’s of tending the beast’s, they were ready to destroy the king and his son.

The king owned a magical Pegasus, a flying horse that he kept in the stable. The prince owned a magical bow which kills anything immediately with one hit. The king also owned a magical sword, an item which turns any thing the blade touches into ashes. They were very well protected against any kind of attack. The king’s warlock had a large array of spells, his best turning enemies to ice and turning friends back from stone. Then in the distance a red-yellow light was seen far away. It came closer and closer until the king, prince, and all of his people saw that it was a dragon! The king’s warlock smiled. He had always wanted to use his ice spell. He stood in position, his wand facing the dragon’s great mouth.

The dragon blew great flames at the warlock, but he twirled his hands and froze the dragon’s fire to ice. The dragon roared in disapproval. The dragon sliced at the warlock with his steel claws, but the warlock froze them, and they were so brittle that they broke apart. The dragon cried out in pain. While the dragon was distracted, the warlock aimed an excellent shot at the dragon’s mouth. The dragon’s whole body froze immediately. The king, prince, and all of the king’s people cheered. But their happiness didn’t last long, for they saw a great Chimera fly down, facing the villagers and the prince.

The prince had an amazing plan. He rushed to the castle and opened up the stable. The Pegasus walked out and stretched his wings. The prince grabbed his magic bow and hopped on to the Pegasus’s back. They zoomed out the door and into the bright sun light. The prince scanned the area for the Chimera. It was not at all hard to find. A snake-tailed goat-backed lion stands out. He had five arrows in his quiver. He had to aim well. He shot and arrow. He heard a bloodcurdling shriek. He saw a bird falling to the ground. He aimed another arrow. It hit a tree, and the tree immediately wilted. He shot another and missed again. He grabbed another arrow and missed yet again. He had one more chance. The prince had one more shot and nailed the Chimera in the head.

The Chimera roared and hit the ground, dead. Everyone looked up and saw the prince on the Pegasus. Everyone cheered until the saw the prince fall off the Pegasus and hit the ground. Everyone didn’t know what happened but the warlock knew he had been petrified. The warlock knew two ways that he could’ve been petrified: a gorgon, or an alchemist with highly skilled dark magic. He knew it was a gorgon when he heard hissing behind him. He knew a gorgon was a vile creature with snakes for hair. The king was determined to kill the gorgon and save his son. He grabbed the magical blade and snuck behind the gorgon and swiped at it’s head. The gorgon froze for a few seconds, then disappeared in a shower of ashes, screeching a horrible noise. Then all was silent. The warlock muttered some words and the prince got up and scratched his head. He had no idea what just happened. The king explained everything to his son. But suddenly, they heard a swishing sound and a burst of black light flew just past the king’s shoulder.

Slovakia appeared zapping death spells everywhere he went. The prince was nowhere to be seen. The king hoped his son was all right. Suddenly, Slovakia smacked the ground with a thud. There was an arrow in his chest. The prince was standing behind the dead warlock. He had ran into the castle to fetch some more magical arrows. They heard a crack and the king’s favorite subject froze to ice. The good warlock was startled. He thought he was the only one who knew the ice spell. He pledged that he would find the trouble maker and put an end to him. Malekith chuckled to himself. He knew that even though his brother had been killed, he still knew they would get the castle, land and the Philosopher's Stone. The good warlock teleported there and shot an ice spell but Malekith deflected it with a lazy flick of his wand. The good warlock barely missed it. The warlock knew a spell he never told anyone. He could turn into anything he wanted. He turned into a chair then a flea. He grabbed his wand and zapped the warlock. The warlock froze in place. The good warlock turned into a normal warlock and teleported back to the castle.

Zecho, the last evil warlock, decided he didn’t want to risk his life for the stone. He teleported to a secluded mountain and was never seen again. And everyone- except for Slovakia and Malekith- lived happily ever after. The End
