1. Why did the UN send an international force to Korea? South Korea requested the U.N. get involved when the North Koreans crossed the 38th parallel and attacked.

2. What was the legacy of the war for N. Korea & S. Korea? N. Korea becomes militarily strong but fails economically. S. Korea becomes industrialized & economically successful w/ US aid.
