18 Conclusion ○As compared with the last APEC workshop held in Vietnam in 2005, this seminar was found to be much more beneficial in equipping participants with the best practices in effective implementation and sustaining ISPS Code in port facility. ○Using Vietnamese language was effective for enhancing participants’ understanding and encouraging active participation during the seminar. ○A port visit should be more effective; for instance, groups could start with a meeting at the port facility, then move to the site to verify the implementation.

19 ○For the table-top exercise, ・ The information on the artificial port should be distributed to all participants at least two weeks prior to the exercise. ・ The group size of around 15 people was a bit large to have active participation from all participants during table-top exercise. ○It is important to conduct practical exercises continuously. Conclusion
