We look forward to learning and collaboration in the workshop, to reduce the harmful effects of alcohol. We introduce: Vietnam is a member of the South-Eastern Asia, with an area of 330,000 km2, population about 85 million people. We are in the industrialization - modernization and integration into the economy of the region and world. Now, we present about: Alcohol consumption situation, its impacts and control measures in Viet Nam

SITUATION OF ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION: - As we know, alcohol has been used for a long time in the festival ceremony, festival, party meeting .... and it has become a habit, is common in everyday life. Vietnam is a country with about 33 million people aged from 20 to 40. This is the age with more consumption of alcohol.

SITUATION OF ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION: - The consumption of wine and beer in Vietnam is forecast to continue growing about 13% - 14% annually in the coming years. In the market tends to move from cheap beer to prices higher beer. - In 2007, the beer market in Vietnam reached 1.8 billion liters. Predicted by 2010 the total output of beer in reach estimated 2.7 billion liters, up 45% compared with 2007.

IMPACTS: If compared with other countries in Asia, the youth of vietnam accesses to alcohol beer easier. Alcohol, beer usually available consumpts of the goods, coffee shops, as well as at home and at work. Common practice in Vietnam is to use wine, beer to celebrate or share sad as a part of social communication, accidentally created drinking habits, beer in youth.

“Fun drinking, drinking sad, not happy or not sad all drinking”. IMPACTS: Young people in Vietnam drink beer a lot. Although we know alcohol harmful to health, but alcohol has become one of the habit of life in Vietnam. “Fun drinking, drinking sad, not happy or not sad all drinking”.

IMPACTS: We know the harm of alcohol, young people also know. The first wine into the body, influencing especially the liver, the liver must work more to inflammation, cirrhosis and liver cancer. Alcohol affect the brain, and effect of inhibitors it is. Setting the level of inhibitors that may indicate different.

Inhibitors if the body can be fatal (stop breathing, stop the heart). Besides the alcohol, the alcohol and have also affected labor efficiency, work efficiency, leading to unemployment and life difficulties.

CONTROL MEASURES: Legal system of Vietnam is very interested in the issues limited beer, wine in young people. Since 01/7/2009, traffic law prohibits the absolute wagoner machine not to smell like wine, beer. Long, the military officer are not absolute alcohol, beer at work and at home. Currently, in Vietnam, the propaganda is still the main. Measures of the law is still not enough solid poses. In the activities of the organization's youth are often incorporating the content. Some of the content such as the office is not wine, beer; behave civilized public places; say no to beer, wine ...

CONTROL MEASURES: In Vietnam, young people aged 14-25 is the largest group accounting for 25% of the population. The development of youth is always the problem is the top concern for adolescents is the potential to decide the future of the country. To limit state youth alcohol drinking beer all think the state should not just stop with the propaganda that education should be strong measures such as taxation really high alcohol beer, very heavy penalty of drunkenness, promote public order, enforcement of minh provisions of laws such as banning alcohol sales to children under 16 years old, banning people under 18 drink alcohol ...
