Digital Humanities (minor) Purposes: (1) Revisit humanities content by applying technology’s analytical strengths. (2) Solve modern problems by applying the humanities’ synthetic thinking methods. Outcomes: (1) Understand the implications of technology- mediated knowledge. (2) Display expertise in one or more technologies. (3) Apply technology skills to solve real problems and/or create new technology-based tools. Skills: Web publishing, print publishing, computational linguistics, software localization, corpus analysis, topic modeling, etc. Students: 55/45 split between humanities majors and others. Majors from every college but one (nursing).
