Why to have quality oriented management ?

THE FACTS There are three motivations for the quality oriented management of higher education: 1. Business and economic pressure 2. Digital world Employers demand graduates with more competencies and high level learning skills

THE FACTS Every year, more than 30 million Americans work in jobs that did not exist in the previous quarter. 50% of workers have worked in their company less than 5 years We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist, Using technologies that haven’t yet been invented and In order to solve problems we don’t even know yet

How do we provide sustainability ?

Academicians resist to quality and accreditation because there are many processes and bureaucracy. SAU use different information systems for different purposes. In order to reduce bureaucracy and integrate these systems, we developed a web-based quality management system to support the university management model holistically. This system is called SABİS (Sakarya University Information Management System). CHALLENGES & OUR SOLUTIONS

 Only Administrative driven  More work for faculty  An infringement on academic freedom  A reductive approach to measuring learning  An attempt to judge individual faculty members' teaching styles  A burden on students

How can we overcome this challenge ?
