Dog's Digestive System By Klevis

How the dogs mouth works The dogs digestive starts off in the mouth. Where the dog chews it with its teeth, there are different types of teeth. The tongue is also there so he knows what is good for him and bad for him.

The next step of digestion The next step after the dog chews his food. It goes down the esophagus. The esophagus has muscles on the sides which squeezes it down to the stomach. The food in the stomach usually stays there for 8-10 hours.

The small intestines The small intestines are next to the kidney and the liver of the dog. The small intestines is where most of the nutrients go from the food that has been digested.

The large intestines. The large intestines is where the food goes. When the food comes out it doesn’t come out the same. It usually stays in the digestive system for a few hours before it comes out. When it comes out it comes out through the anus. It comes out as many other kinds of colours it depends on what the dog eats.
