WHAT IS CCE? CONTINUOUS COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION School Based Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation. CONTINUOUS COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION

Assessment of Learning Involves working with range of available evidence that enables staff and wider community to check pupil’s progress.

HELPS IN : Keeping track of progress Identify learning gaps Understand how pupils learn and what they learn Tap their strengths and weaknesses Give remediation where required

SCHOOL BASED CONTINUOUS & COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION SYSTEM Reduces stress on children Makes evaluation comprehensive Provides space for teachers for creative teaching Provides a tool of diagnosis & remediation Provides learners with greater skills

ASSESSMENT OF SCHOLASTIC AREA ACADEMICS: Two kinds of assessment : FORMATIVE – Continuously during the term SUMMATIVE – At the end of the term

SCHOOL BASED EVALUATION PART I – SCHOLASTIC A & B PART I A : Academic Assessment Formative – 2 (FA1 + FA2) Weightage = 10% + 10% = 20% Summative : At the end of each term (Two terms only) Two Summatives in a year SA1 = 20% - First Term SA2= 40% - Second Term

TOTAL First Term = FA1+FA2 =( 10%+10%) = 20% SA1 = 20% 40% Second Term= FA3+FA4=(10+10) =20% SA2 =40% 60% First Term + Second Term 40% + 60 % = 100%

EACH FORMATIVE WILL CONSIST OF: Class works periodically Oral work periodically Projects one or two Activities one or two Assignments one or two of different kinds
