Event Types Class/Lecture/Instruction/Certification –For members and non-members alike. It is hosted and led by an instructor member with a focused curriculum. Prerequisite knowledge, age minimum, or other specifications may be required. Classes are eligible for instructor incentives. Program –A member benefit however non-members are permitted. Programs are usually recurring or have an end goal. There may have an associated fee, or a recommended donation amount. The primary functions of a program are to provide interesting group activities for members, recruit non-members, and build Nova Labs awareness. Space Rental – A rental is an event that is not directly affiliated with Nova Labs. It may be for a private company or organization. It must be “sponsored” by a member who will be present at the space for the entire event. A rental fee will be determined by the events committee based on the size and purpose of the meeting. Postings – Activities that are not specifically content driven and do not require space allocation may be posted at member discretion. These should not include a fee and are not content based. Examples are build out events, promotional notices, and private member-only notices (like a deadline for a project). *All classes, program meetings, and space rentals must be submitted through the events process and approved for posting on meetup. This helps us keep track of room reservations and manage finances.
