Dara Keogh Director Dara Keogh Director Background Dara has over 10 years of accounting, audit and advisory experience. He joined KPMG in 2002 and currently serves as a Director with KPMG Cayman Islands audit practice. Prior to joining KPMG Dara gained valuable experience working as Corporate Risk Consultant with a public Life & Pensions company based in the UK, and as an Account Executive with an Insurance Manager in the Cayman Islands. Professional and Industry Experience Dara provides leadership and direction within the insurance and banking audit practice with KPMG Cayman Islands. Though his main focus relates to providing financial statement audit services, Dara is also involved in providing advisory services around the topic of financial services regulation (eg: Basel III, Solvency II, Dodd Frank). His insurance clients mainly consist of captive insurance companies that provide property/casualty coverage to hospital systems, nursing homes and industry and trade associations. He also has valuable experience working with single parent captives, group captives and segregated portfolio companies. Dara’s portfolio also includes a number of large subsidiaries of international banks. He became involved in the audit of banks five years ago and has developed a very strong presence within the Cayman Islands banking industry. He has presented on numerous occasions to various sized audiences on a wide range of technical/accounting and general business topics to members of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority , the Cayman Islands Society of professional Accountants, Cayman Islands Banking Association and Insurance Managers Association in Cayman. Dara also initiated and lead the development of an annual recurring publication summarizing the Cayman Captive Forum since 2009. This publication has became very successful in differentiating KPMG as a leading firm in the insurance industry.
