Recruitment Methods(To get people for a job) There are 3 main steps to recruitment 1. Advertise the Job Vacancy(Put job on website) 2. Shortlist Candidates (Keep the best cut the rest) 3. Interviews

Job Description In pairs discuss for 2 minutes: What do you think would be included in a job advert?

Job Description The business needs to decide what kind of work they want the employee to do A written description of the job Title of the Job e.g “Teacher” Purpose of the job “ To deliver lessons” Main duties “ Assess and monitor pupil progress”

How do we show this? Create a “CV” or sometimes called “resume”

CV- “Sell yourself” Tell the employer how good you are

What is a CV/Resume?

Your CV Using the Job you have previously selected in the last lesson Write your own CV using the template given to you by your teacher Use the information you have found in the previous lessons about your qualities, skills and experience to help you complete this.

Read “Fatima’s CV” Would you give her the job? Would you get a job before her? Complete Your CV using the template

MY CV Make sure you check your spelling, punctuation and grammar Make sure it is neat and tidy Sell yourself, why should you get this job before everyone else?

Struggling To Write Things in Your CV? You do have good qualities ask your friends! Maybe you need to start developing your qualities?

Would you employ yourself? Remember you need to apply for University/college by talking about your qualities and experience. If you are always late to class are you likely to be employed? If you are unorganized? (forget books?) are you likely to get a job/into University? YOU NEED TO START THINKING ABOUT THIS NOW!

References When you do an application for University or submit a CV for a Job They check you are telling the truth by contacting teachers and people you have worked with before. So you need to truthful!
