MRSA Toms Bernhards

What is MRSA? It’s a strain of Staph infection that is resistant to the group of antbiotics called betalactams ie penicillin Spread by bacteria going into cuts or open wounds

Symptoms MRSA infection will produce pimple or boils that will swell and could be painful and drain pus If not treated can lead to pneumonia, meningitis, or toxic shock syndrome

Treatment MRSA is resistant to penicillin and other antibiotics in the same family Antibiotics have been made that don’t let the bacterium to break down the antibiotic

Cures There are not any quick cure Infections are cured with aid of antibiotics and coving up infections so that they can’t spread

Prevention Cleaning wounds and washing clothes and hands helps prevent infection Alcohol is a helpful surface sanitizer
