Who knows about MRSA??? Done by Emily Vixamar & Patresse Sanders Core 1-3

MRSA MRSA stands for Methicillinresistant Staphyloccusaureus, which describes the number of strains of the bacteria. Staphyloccusaureus was caused by penicillin resistance.

Who discovered MRSA??? Tom Anderson discovered MRSA in India in the early 1900’s. The contagious disease comes from the pig. If you brush against someone or even get near them you are putting yourself at risk of catching the bacteria “ MRSA.”

What does MRSA Cause???? MRSA causes skin infections, pneumonia, blood stream infections and surgical wound infections.

A Cure for MRSA??? Active Manuka Honey is a safe cure for MRSA without side effects.

Case of MRSA….. A Greenville, North Carolina hospital has cut its MRSA infection rates dramatically by testing all incoming patients for the bug and using precautions with patients who test positive. The facility, Pitt County Memorial Hospital, demands that both visitors and professionals who treat MRSA carriers wear fresh gloves and paper gowns when they enter such patients' rooms--as well as discarding the gloves and gowns and washing their hands when they leave the room.
