“Preparing for a Human Services Career After High School” CTEP Grant is supported by funds from the Federal Carl D. Perkins, Career and Technical Education Act of 2006.

 Career Technical Education – [CTE]  Human Services Career Cluster  Early Childhood Pathway Program of Study [POS] includes:  Participants – explore one class  Concentrators – pursue more than one class,  And may earn minimal credit  Completers – follow all the classes in a POS and earn the most college credit for those classes.

 Career Clusters: are groupings of occupations and industries with similar training.(Career clusters provide the knowledge and skills students need as they follow a PATHWAY towards their career goal.  A Career Pathway: represents a grouping of occupations within a cluster based on commonalities.  A Program of Study: consecutive courses planned to prepare students in high school for entry to or success in a career or postsecondary education.
