In this 1942 battle that cost nearly 900 Canadian lives, Canadians unsuccessfully attacked the German-held port along France’s coastline.

What is Dieppe?

In this 1941 battle, Canadians surrendered this former British colony on 25 December 1941 to the Japanese. In this horrific 17- day battle, over 300 Canadians were killed

What is Hong Kong?

In this battle in Italy, Canadians used a technique called mouse- holing. After capturing one house, a hole was blasted through the attic into the next house. Once inside, Canadian used grenades and machine guns to attack the enemy from above.
