POSTING WORK TO THE HUB

Who You Your teacher Your classmates What The vast majority of your work that is handed in for assessment and/or feedback will be posted to the hub. When Before the established deadline. If material is asked to be done “for next class”, you should post it before class begins. Where Use the link on your classpage- this will take you right to the discussion board where your folder is. Alternatively, go to hub.stgeorges.bc.ca and search for your class. Unless other requested, post to the folder with your name. Why Posting to the hub allows you and your teacher to keep organised. It creates a mini-portfolio of all your work. Can make sharing work for peer review easier.

POSTING TO THE HUB  Work posted to each student’s folder is his own private work, and should be a private dialogue between that student and his teacher.  Work posted to assignment-specific folders will be available for purposeful review by other students.  Work posted to the hub should meet expectations of formality, grammar and spelling as well as academic integrity, as outlined by the assignment.  It is suggested that you use a word processing program to compose your work and then copy/paste it into the post or attach a file. This may help with spelling and grammar, and can help prevent work from being lost due to a “timing out” situation.
