Spider monkeys are large in size. Adult monkeys grow to be almost two feet tall excluding the tail. They have a powerful tail that they use as an extra limb. Spider monkeys like to hang upside-down with all four limbs and the tail holding on to branches which makes them look like a spider and thus their name. They also have the ability to swing from branch to branch at a high speed. Their fur colour can be black, brown, golden, red, or tan. Spider monkeys spend most of their time high up in the canopy where they can find fruits and seeds to eat. They also eat plants. They are unusual monkeys in that they have only four fingers and no thumb. Spider monkeys are heavily hunted and are in danger of becoming extinct. The spider monkey`s scientific name is Ateles belzebuth it normally lives in the rain forest between southern México and brazil.

The Bengal Tiger The Bengal Tigers scientific name is panthera tigris. The Bengal Tiger can be found in rainforests in Southeast Asia and parts of India.

The Bengal Tiger The different types of habitats consist of tropical rainforest, snow-covered coniferous and deciduous forests, mangrove swamps and drier forest types, which are representative of tropical deciduous forests. The tiger’s habitat has moderately dense cover to aid in its hunting.

The Bengal Tiger Bengal tigers will eat antelopes, monkeys, pigs, birds and occasionally elephants. The Bengal tigers also eat up to 60 pounds of meat in one night. It takes days for the tiger to finish it’s pray. The Bengal tiger is endangered specie because habitat loss and poaching are important threats to specie survival. Poaching kill tigers not only for there pelt, but also for components to make various traditional East Asian medicines.

The Bengal Tiger The Bengal tiger is the largest wild cat in the world. It weighs up to 720 pounds. It stretches to 6 feet long and has a 1 meter long tail.
