PELICAN – Pennsylvania’s Enterprise to Link Information for Children Across Networks Data base for all OCDEL funded programs – including PA Pre K Counts, Keys to Quality (STARS), Early Intervention and Certification (licensing)
If you attempt to log in more than 3 times incorrectly, you will get locked out! If this happens, call Passwords are changed every 90 days
Everyone enters through the home page – looks different for different types of users Chick PELICAN regularly for messages, to update info, etc.
Your best friend in PELICAN is the help box – available on every page

There are also training materials for further practice

You will have to enter attendance for each individual program the child is enrolled in – Head Start and Stars

If you get a red error message See if you can fix it based on the message Check Help if you can’t figure it out Contact ELN Help Desk Contact specialist if needed If you get the “yellow screen of death” Log back out and log in to see if you can eliminate it Contact specialist if needed
If you need to have a “fix” done: Contact the help desk Provide as much detail as possible: What you were trying to do Log in information What screen you were on What message/error you got Screen shot, if possible Print Screen – take a “picture” of the screen with print screen button Attach with info to help desk
