9 Location of Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Port Zone 　　 Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Port Zone was approved by the state government on February 24, 2008. It is the fifth free trade port zone in China after Yangshan Free Trade Port Zone, Tianjin Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone, Dalian Dayaowan Free Trade Port Zone and Hainan Yangpu Free Trade Port Zone. Ningbo Meishan Free Trade Port Zone is located in Meishan Island, Beilun, Ningbo, covering an area of 7.7 km2. 9

Location Meishan Island is located 500m away from the continent in east Ningbo. It is an important part of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port in Yangtze River Delta. To the east, lies international voyage route and the anchor field, to the west lies Xiangshan port, to the north lies Beilun port, and to the south lies Liuheng and Fuodu islands. 10

Transportation Meishan is connected to national highway network via Tongshan Highway, Ningbo Raocheng Highway, Chuanshan Shugang Highway, Xiangshangang Highway (under construction), through Meishan Bridge (under construction), Meizhong Bridge, Meidong Bridge, and Zhoushan Liuheng Transea Bridge (to be constructed). 12
