TASK: Execute an unknown distance buddy team run. CONDITIONS: During daylight hours, given a marked course, each team member wearing ACUs complete (minus top), un-bloused boots, FLC, camelbak, and carrying an individual rubber M4. STANDARDS: Complete the course with all equipment as a team. Each team member must carry his own equipment. You may carry your rubber M4 in your hands how ever you choose. The rubber M4 cannot be placed on or supported by equipment (FLC). Team members must stay within 1 meter of each other at all times (to include crossing the finish line). The team with the fastest time wins. TASK, CONDITIONS, STANDARDS

Welcome to the final event of the 2010 Best Ranger Competition where you and your ranger buddy will be required to conduct a buddy run along a marked course. During this event, your team must stay within arms reach of each other, remain on the marked course, and keep all equipment with you. You must carry your weapon in your hands how ever you choose. Your weapon cannot be placed on or supported by equipment (FLC). After receiving the TCS for this event, all teams will be escorted from this location to the buddy run start point. On the command of “go,” all teams will begin in mass and conduct the buddy run as quickly as possible. Your time will stop when the last member of your buddy team crosses the finish line. 1. The final buddy run event is graded independently. 2. Teams will be scored and ranked by fastest to slowest times. 3. In the event of a tie, the points awarded for both teams will be added together and divided by the # of teams, each team receives the same amount of points. - Example: Two teams tie for 1 st place. Scorers will add up the points awarded for 1 st and 2 nd place, then divide by two, and each team will receive that number of points. SCORING SCHEME
