SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT Magical popcorn

Purpose/Question: (What do I want to find out?) What will happen when you add baking soda and vinegar to popcorn kernels?

Materials: (What do I need to conduct my experiment) Dixie cup of popcorn kernels Water Vinegar Baking soda Clear plastic cup Beaker Spoon Funnel

Procedure: (What will you do? List step-by-step directions) Pour popcorn kernels in a clear plastic cup. Add 50 ml of water into beaker. Pour water into plastic cup with popcorn kernels Add 50ml of vinegar into beaker. Pour vinegar into plastic cup with water and kernels. Observe… where are the kernels? Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda Watch what happens….

Results: (Show what happened in your experiment by using pictures,charts, and/or graphs ) Vinegar + Water + Baking Soda = Magical popcorn
