They perform a highly complex role and continually develop practice. Advanced practitioners work at level 7 on the Career Framework for Health

The Scheme’s career framework levels priority areas for funding in 2010 to 2013 are AHP Healthcare Support Workers and Assistant Practitioners. AHP Careers Fellowship Scheme produces a quarterly newsletter which can be downloaded from the NES website health-professions/career-fellowship-scheme.aspx
