21 Administration and Finance Mission and objectives Overall mission Manage resources to support the ESF mission, which is to promote European Science in a spirit of excellence Permanent Objectives Guarantee the production of high quality financial information at short notice to support management decisions Steer the financial planning (budgets/forecasts) and the financial outcome (actual) on a basis shared with all functions and linked with the strategy Guarantee the respect of legal obligations, internal control procedures, and the safety and good management of assets Ensure ESF's information systems are aligned with ESF processes and user requirements, providing both automatisation and added-value services (such as decision support or collaborative tools), as well as enforcing compliance with regulations (traceability etc.) Contribute to the success of all development projects by managing the related financial aspects ESF Administration and Finance, Mission and organisation, May 2008
