We look forward to having you at OMH for your clinical experience (s). During this Orientation program you will receive information about patient safety as well as your safety. But first, I would like to share with you Oconee Memorial Hospital’s Mission and Vision. Then share with you the history behind OMH.

In 1963 OMH, the building we are currently in, opened with a total of 126 beds.

Oconee Memorial Hospital Module 1 Welcome from the CEOOur Mission and VisionHistory of OMH Governance of OMHOrganization InformationOMH Culture Oconee County has assisted the Hospital with GO (Government Obligation) Bonds for some of our expansions back in the 70’s and 80’s. The Hospital issued Industrial Revenue Bonds for our 1997 Outpatient Facility Expansion. Hospital revenues pay back Industrial Revenue Bonds and taxpayers pay back GO bonds. Hospital revenues support all operations of Oconee Memorial Hospital other than some funds that are given by Oconee County to supplement the operations of our Emergency Medical Services. OMH has a landlord/tenant relationship with Oconee County for the property only.

The Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff-Elect, the CEO, and an association member at large are also appointed to the Board of Directors. This 15 member Board of Directors establishes overall Hospital policy.
