  Online public access catalog is an online database of materials held by a library or a group of libraries.  Users search a library catalog principally to locate books and other materials available at a library. OPAC SYSTEM

  Users can choose author, title, keyword, it does not need to be sorted systematically.  Physical storage space is considerably reduced.  Updates are significantly more efficient. BENEFITS OF OPAC

  A library classification is a system of documents, library materials or any information according to their subject and allocating a call number to that information source. LIBRARY CLASSIFICATION

  Enumerative: subject headings are listed according to alphabetical order, with numbers assigned to each heading alphabetically.  Faceted: subjects are divided into mutually exclusive orthogonal facets.  Hierarchical: subjects are divided according to its hierarchy, from most general to most specific
