 Scattered information needs organization, consolidation, and interconnectivity to be of use.  Political, travel, economic, and communication boundaries between many countries are becoming porous.  Toxicologists will benefit by learning of toxicological activities of their colleagues in other countries and at a multi-lateral level. Why WLT?

 It can serve as a catalyst to stimulate collaborative projects and a resource tool to reduce duplication of effort.  Toxicologists in developing countries will be able to contribute resources and learn about activities in the developed world. Why WLT?

 Including resources of consumer interest will help educate the public.  It provides a single source that incorporates links to toxicology sites in both the country’s native language and English.  It offers a portal that adheres to the principles of quality, reliability, and credibility.
