Operation Study is a university-wide initiative designed to re-invent the academic experience by establishing a campus culture that expects and supports high motivation and academic achievement of Clayton State students. 2

The overall purpose of Operation Study is to positively impact student retention and persistence toward degree completion. 4

 Define “college-level studying,” and teach students effective study strategies.  Establish “studying” as a campus-wide expectation by all faculty, staff, and students.  Identify incentives that increase classroom performance and encourage studying.  Partner with campus academic support services to promote effective study habits and strategies.  Incorporate “study efforts” with other University retention initiatives. 5
