We appreciate your co-operation during our works and any guidance you provide to help us minimise the impact we make on your lives will be gratefully received. If you have any concerns or complaints with regard to the construction project I am happy to take your call at any time on the mobile number given below: Carillion Building Site Office Stockport Road West Bredbury Stockport SK6 2EE Stockport Property Alliance Community Update The works on site have progressed significantly since the start of the year with all the structural works now complete and the external façade steel framing works now commenced. Roof and internal finishing works are now commencing as we progress the works to achieve water tightness of the building as soon as possible. Mechanical and Electrical works are now planned to commence shortly in conjunction with internal partitions and ceilings. Ground floor slab works are now underway and it is planned for the ground floor slab to be fully cast by the end of April. Trench works to the north and west elevations of the existing school were commenced at the start of the Easter Holiday 2 week period. Unfortunately the works to the service trench had to be abandoned when Asbestos lagging and Insulation board was discovered in the ground. We have notified the HSE of this discovery and we are now liaising with the Local Authority and Local Environment Officer in order to re-commence the works over a 4 week period commencing at the half term holiday period in May. We would take this opportunity to assure you that all excavations on site are being managed at all times by specialist Asbestos advisors and any Asbestos materials found will be removed in accordance with the Health and safety executive regulations on Asbestos removal. Please note that should you have any queries relating to the works and in particular Asbestos please don’t hesitate to give me a call on the mobile number below or make arrangements to meet on site where we can explain our procedures in more detail. Dear Resident, This project is registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and we have now installed CCS banners and contact details on the site perimeter fencing The site team will continue to comply with the scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice, covering the following key issues: Care about appearance Respect Community Protect Environment Secure everyone's safety Value their work force Further detailed information on the scheme can be found at: Please feel free to come to the site offices or use the telephone numbers to contact site management if you have any queries or concerns. The site offices are open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6.00pm and, on occasion Weekends 7.30am to 2.00pm by arrangement Carillion Building’s Newsletter for Arden Primary School Project April 15 Project Manager Brendan Lunn Mobile: Welcome to the Carillion New Arden Primary School April News Letter.

Progress so far... Works have progressed really well since the start of the year with all Structural works now complete and installation of façade steel framing now commenced. Roof works are now underway and internal fit out works and M&E installations will commence shortly as the works progress towards water tightness. Installation of the ground floor slab works is ongoing and the ground floor slab will be fully cast by the end of April. Progress on installation of external services trench works has been difficult due to the potential of cement board Asbestos being present on site and we are continuing to liaise with Stockport Environmental Health Officers and our Asbestos professionals' in order to ensure any Asbestos found is removed from site in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines. Progress Photographs Construction progress photos Engaging the Workforce of the Future The Carillion team are continuing to work with the Schools and supporting them where possible with the curriculum. Carillion have a number of exercises planned with both Schools to engage with the children on the different building processes that are being considered on their new school and the differing disciplines that make the process work. Supporting the Community. Carillion are continuing to work with local apprenticeship schemes and currently there is 1 joinery apprentice on site with plans in place to include electrical and plumbing apprentices shortly. Engaging with the children Weekly visits to the site are now planned to commence for both the children and the teaching staff. These visits are a good opportunity for the schools to see the new building and get a real sense of what their new school will look like and the values of their new school environment.
