eTranscript Initiative Overview Collaborative effort between Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Board of Regents Purpose of initiative is provide infrastructure to allow high schools to send transcript data electronically to colleges/universities using vendor Parchment High school students/counselors can initiate transcript requests through secure web application Student Information Systems at K-12 and higher education institutions modified to transfer data 2

Currently costs $6.30 to process one high school transcript Designed to save counselors time and money at high schools and higher education institutions both time and money in processing transcript requests - no paper forms to mail Transcript management can be done with just a few mouse clicks Provides data in a ready format for acceptance by higher education student information systems (Peoplesoft, Datatel, Banner) 3 eTranscript Initiative Benefits
