The college encourages you to meet with a counselor to discuss your academic/career goals and develop your student educational plan. Transfer Programs –60 transferable lower units (100 & 200 level) –General education (IGETC or CSU GE) + major preparation and Electives – for UC/CSU major preparation requirementswww.assist.org –Leads to admissions to a four-year college/university –Various major and GPA requirements for highly selective majors Associate Degree Programs –60 units or more based on major –General Education + Major and Electives –2.0 GPA and Good Standing Academically –Leads to employment and/or transfer –Is not required for transfer, but can be a supplement to your resume. –Review the Majors summary for choices in the AA/AS Certificate Programs –7-36 units of field specific coursework –Job skills development –Leads to employment, AA degree and/or transfer Basic Skills Training –Pre-100 Level Courses - Strengthen reading/writing and critical thinking skills –Leads to employment, certificate, AA, and/or transfer –S4S and Reentry Skills Workshops
