Instructional Design ADHAM JAD

Instructional Design Instructional Design is the practice of creating instructional experiences which make the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective and appealing.

There are various models to support instructional design. The instructional design models build open instructional design theories and learning theories. Learning theories elicit how information is absorbed, processed and retained during the learning process. Instructional Design supports in order make learning effective. Instructional Design models are the procedures and methodologies adopted to produce learning material. Understanding of Instructional Design, Instructional Design Theories and Learning Theory Model

Instructional Design There are many different instructional design models from which to choose. Many of these models have common features such SUPPLY FEATURES

Analysis The first stage of this ID model is analysis. This step requires the content creator to understand audience, list down the tasks to be completed and the goals of the project. Information Designer classifies date to make it more appealing for the learners.

Design After analysis, the instructional designer moves to towards designing content for the learners. Design phases is initiated by identifying learning objectives and tasks, and breaking down those tasks to small doable deliverables. In the end, designer determines the activities to be performed in order to meet the goals written down during the analysis phase.

Development The activities determined during the design phase are implemented in this phase. The blueprints from the design stage are created into activities.

Implementation Once all instructional content is ready, the designer implements and tests all material in order to see if the designed content fits the audience or not. This step also helps designer in finding out effectiveness of the design.

Evaluation This final step of ADDIE instructional design model decides whether the developed content was useful for not. The designer tries to find out the level of accuracy and effectiveness of the instructional content and activities. The designer finalizes the design if the output is desired one. Otherwise revisions are performed.

Why Use Instructional Design? Instructional Design is very important as it provides improved delivery of instruction and helps create meaningful and effective lessons. It enables the learners to focus on the goals of the lessons. Instructional Design models are the procedures used to implement instructional design. An ID model structures the workflow of an instructional process.
