WHAT IS PODIATRIC MEDICINE? Podiatric medicine is the highly specialized branch of medicine dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders affecting the foot, ankle, and lower extremities.

LOWER EXTREMITY AND FOOT FACTS ¼ of all the bones in your body are in your feet Each foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, 19 muscles and tendons Feet are complex anatomical structures, all-in-one stabilizers, shock absorbers, and propulsion engines that are instrumental to overall health and well-being.
