 Students are required to take  3 credits on Accelerated course such as Honors, Advanced Placement or Dual Enrollment or  3 credits in CTE sequenced Program of Study

 Class of 2011 and beyond  26 credits  4 English credits  4 Math credits  4 Science credits  4 Social Studies credits  1 HOPE (PE) credit  1 Fine/Performing Art or/approved CTE courses  0.50 credit CDRM  7.5 credits in Electives including (SSNP Rigorous Courses or 3 CTE sequential courses, includes JROTC)  Total: 26 credits and both sections Reading & Math on FCAT.

 3 SSNP Rigorous Course Credits may be used to fulfill any of the courses required as noted on the listing.  SSNP requires 3 credits in any combination of approved dual enrollment, AP or Honors class or 3 sequential credits in a CTE program of study, including JROTC.

 All EOC are comprehensive for the year.  Beginning in 2012 all students in Algebra 1 must take and pass the Algebra 1 EOC to earn credit; no matter what their grade is in the course.  2013 student in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Biology will take an EOC in each of these subject areas for credit.  They will have multiple opportunities to test.

 Entrance to an Academy is by application only.  Science, Technology, Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing (STEAM)  Academy classes begin in 9 th grade.  Academy of Teacher Education and Public Service (ATEPS) Academy students English, Social Studies and Academy classes are blocked together. Academy students will be eligible for special field trips, scholarships and internship exclusive to their academy.

 Collegiate High School (Dual Enrollment course specifically targeted for an AA degree and “Fast Track”. Collegiate HS: eligibility begins at the end of 9 th grade. Completion of Algebra 1by end of 9 th grade Qualifying minimum 3.0 GPA Qualifying College Test Scores Fast Track is an alternate way of earning an AA degree. It begins 10 th h grade. Qualifying GPA and College test scores are required.

 Advanced Placement Program is a Nationally Prominent Program designed by The College Board, the SAT corporation.  Student can earn college credit by earning a 3 or higher on their AP exam at the end of the course.  Brevard is offering a Diploma of Distinction titled “The Advanced Placement Diploma”

 Open to any student interested in military history, drill routines and leadership skills.  Uniform is required on selected days each week.  JROTC Scholarships available.

 Begins in 7 th grade  Student may enter in 8 th or 9 th grades  Student must have a level 4.5 on FCAT  Student must pass their EOC exams  Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA in middle school  Student must maintain a GPA in high school  Student must pass 6 AP exams with a 3 or higher in three different core areas.

 Three different scholarships: 2012 graduates  FLORIDA ACADEMIC SCHOLAR = 3.5 Wt. GPA & 1270 SAT or 28 ACT & 100 Community service hours  FLORIDA MEDALLION SCHOLAR = 3.0 Wt. GPA & 980 SAT or 21 ACT & 75 Community service hours  FLORIDA VOCATIONAL GOLD SEAL SCHOLAR = 90 credit hours 3.0 wt. plus 3.5 GPA in their CTE classes and qualifying college entrance scores and 50 Community service hours  *There are new changes in the exact dollar amount given. It is a fix amount per credit hour per cohort class. Any differences will be paid by the recipient.
