Chinese Culinary Arts/ Cuisine (Zhōngguó de pēngrèn yìshù hé měishí)

Origin and history (De qǐyuán hé lìshǐ) Chinese food is not only a tradition, but has also spread across the world, to the United States and other countries. (Zhōngguó de shípǐn bùjǐn shì yīzhǒng chuántǒng, dàn yě biànbù shìjiè gèdì, měiguó hé qítā guójiā) Taste, texture, aroma and color are 4 main parts of Chinese food that are looked highly upon. (Wèidào, zhídì, xiāngwèi hé yánsè de 4 gè zhǔyào bùfèn dōu xiǎnde fēicháng hòu de zhōngguó shípǐn.)

The actual food (Shíjì liángshí) The Chinese eat a lot of rice and noodles, but they are not without their vegetables such as different herbs for seasonings to cabbage. (Zhōngguó rén chīle hěnduō mǐfàn huò miàntiáo, dàn tāmen yě bùshì méiyǒu tāmen de shūcài, rú báicài tiáowèi liào bùtóng de cǎoyào.) There are different regions in Chinese that have different foods and traditions. (Zhè shì zài zhōngguó de bùtóng dìqū, yǒu bùtóng de shíwù hé chuántǒng.)

Chinese to America (Zhōngguó dào měiguó) As I said, America has incorporated Chinese food into our every day lives, though it may not be how it was traditionally prepared, it has still made it’s mark. (Zhèngrú wǒ suǒ shuō de, měiguó yǐjīng jiàng zhōngguó de shíwù jìnrù wǒmen de rìcháng shēnghuó, suīrán tā kěnéng bùshì chuántǒng shàng zhǔnbèi rúhé, tā háishì tā de biāojì.) American food is considered very simple to Chinese food, which is very complicated. (Měiguó de shípǐn bèi rènwéi shì fēicháng jiǎndān de zhōngguó cài, zhè shì fēicháng fùzá de.)

Why is it important? (Wèishéme hěn zhòngyào?) In Chinese culture, they are known for their willingness to eat anything, plant or animal, even insect. (Zài zhōngguó wénhuà zhōng, tāmen bèi chēng wèi tāmen yuànyì chī rènhé dōngxi, zhíwù huò dòngwù, shènzhì kūnchóng.) And through their culture and food preparation, they tend to use almost all parts of the plant or animal. (Tōngguò tāmen de wénhuà hé zhǔnbèi shíwù, tāmen wǎngwǎng huì shǐyòng jīhū suǒyǒu de zhíwù huò dòngwù.)

Closing Statements (Zhì bìmù cí) Thank you for looking at my presentation. (Xièxiè nǐ kàn wǒ de yǎnjiǎng.) Remember how much Chinese food has impacted the lives of Americans, and remains a steady culture in China. (Qǐng jì zhù duōshǎo zhōngguó shípǐn yǐjīng yǐngxiǎngle měiguó rén de shēnghuó, bìng zài zhōngguó réngrán shì yīgè wěndìng de wénhuà.)
