Drama Terms Acting Area - the performance space where the actor/actress moves in full view of the audience Backstage - the part of the stage and theatre which is out of the sight of the audience Cue - the signal an actor uses to begin a line or movement

Dress Rehearsal - a full practice, where actors/actresses are in costume and everything is performed as written Props - furnishings, set accessories, and any other item large and small which can’t be used as scenery, electrical or wardrobe. Stage Left/Right - the actor’s point of view when looking out at the audience, which indicates the direction to enter and exit the performance space
