Incident Types Domestics are the highest type of incident that Summerfield Village has. In Orange Township as well as the entire County, theft/larceny incidents are the highest type, followed closely by domestics.

Incidents in Summerfield Village Summerfield Village has seen a slight decrease in total incidents annually since Summerfield Village experiences more incidents in August than any other month.

Tips for Preventing Theft Lock It Up: doors and windows of your home (occupied or not!) and your vehicles. Conceal Valuables: in vehicles, put them in the trunk or under the seat or cover them up. Park in the Garage: and remove all valuables, including phones, wallets, and other electronics. Park Near Light: If you cannot park in the garage, park near a porch/garage light or street lamp. And take your garage door opener inside with you ! Leave House Lights On: both inside and out and when occupied and not occupied – especially near doors and windows.

See Something, Say Something Report suspicious activity to us: Take note of the location, time, description of persons and/or vehicles, and direction of travel. If possible, take a photo with your cell phone while safely inside your home. Pay attention to your gut feeling. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended several suspects through descriptions from residents with a “gut feeling,” including a suspect in a string of burglaries in several counties.
