Presentation transcript:

Almost there! Though in the final stages of completing a program of study, students in the COMPLETION phase can still drop out or give up for many reasons including… credits earned do not match degree attainment credits will not transfer to another institution credential earned will not garner family- supporting-wage job

What kinds of questions should we ask ourselves to ensure that students avoid possible roadblocks in this phase? How do students move through this pathway? What challenges have our students had in the past in this stage ? How can the college as a whole work toward ensuring success through this phase?

Working Together to Prevent Roadblocks in Completion OBJECTIVE: Brainstorm ways different roles on campus can help student proceed through the COMPLETION phase. TASK: Your group will receive a small traffic cone labeled with a particular group on campus. On the slips of paper at your table, write as many ideas as to how that sector can promote success at the COMPLETION stage. When time is up, you will receive a new cone.
