INTRODUCTION GENERAL STATE OF THE FIELD: This project “Design of a Water Ceramic filter” relates to a group of people working in the field of Materials Engineering. Material engineers are involved in the development, processing, and testing of the materials used to create a diversity of products.

DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM SIMPLIFYING THE PROBLEM DEVISING A PLAN FOR THE SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION PLAN

PROJECT SCOPE DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM: Design a ceramic water filter that would provide safe drinking water for the average civilian in Cambodia. Select the best Clay for filtering Select the best clay processing method feasible for the long run.

PROJECT SCOPE Cost of the clay Shrinkage rate Filtration rate Consistency level CRITERIA AND CONSTRAINS

OUR SOLUTION CONSIDERATIONS: Filtration duration of 8 hours to allow availability of safe water throughout the day Ensure filtration rates produce sufficient drinking water

THE PRODUCTION PROCESS 2. Mixing3. Filter Pressing or Hand Molding 4. Drying and Firing 5. Application of Colloidal Silver 1. Material Processing and Preparation 6. Final Stage

We used various Computer Softwares and other related tools in our project Microsoft Excel Sure Trak High Level Language C (see Demo)(see Demo) Hand sketches TOOLS USED

CONCLUSION Our approach is practical Our solution is feasible as it considers economic and social aspects Our project contributes to the economy of Cambodia by providing employment opportunities for the local community Achieved the goal of producing efficient filters
