The Wolverine By. Madison

Physical Characteristics  The wolverine can be up to inches long.  The wolverine can weigh up to pounds.  The wolverine can be glossy brown with a light face mask.

Lifespan  The wolverine’s lifespan is years.

Eating Habits/Diet  The wolverine is a carnivore.  They eat caribou, moose, ground squirrels, and snowshoe hares.

Population  There are 500 wolverines in 48 states.

Habitat/Range  The wolverine lives in Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Washington, and the Great Lakes Region.

Adaptations  Wolverines use their teeth to eat meat.  Wolverines use their feet to run from predators.  Wolverines use their nose to breath.

Fun Facts  Male wolverines are % bigger than females.  Kits are white when they are born to blend in with snow.

Endangered Because  The wolverine’s snow is melting.  The wolverines need snow for dens to give protection to kits.
