How to Calculate Your CSU GPA  A-G classes ONLY  10th, 11th, 12th grades  Weighted  Honors/AP credits (up to 8 points)

College Entrance Tests & Scores  The CSU accepts the SAT I Reasoning Test or ACT.  CSU Mentor SAT school code –  CSU only looks at Critical Reading and Math portion of SAT I Reasoning Test.  If multiple score reports, the highest score earned in each single sub score of the examination is used. Example:  1st time: 500 M CR= 1100  2nd time: 550 M CR= 1100  CSU total = 550 M CR= 1150

Early Assessment Program Preparing for College-Level English and Mathematics

The California State University (CSU) system has designed a tool whereby ONLY high school JUNIORS can assess whether they are prepared for college.

 Save up to $12,036 dollars  Start in college level classes  Save time at the University  Be a better prepared student  More likely to GRADUATE from the University

 Only 15 extra questions in math and 15 extra questions in English (The English portion of the test also includes an essay taken in March) The Test  California is the ONLY state that offers this FREE college-readiness assessment

 The Senior Year Math Experience For Conditionally Ready Students  Completing a math course that has Algebra II as a prerequisite or AP Physics with a grade of “C” or better. *Note: A “ C- ” does not fulfill the requirement.

 SAT Critical Reading:500 or above  SAT Writing Skills:680 or above  ACT English test:22 or above  AP English: 3 or above  A “C” or better in a community college English course that satisfies the general education requirement in English composition (English 1A).  A status of READY on the CSU’s Early Assessment in English  A passing score on the CSU’s English Placement Test (EPT)

 SAT Reasoning Test :550 or above  SAT Subject Test (IC or IIC):550 or above  ACT Mathematics test:23 or above  AP Calculus or Statistics:3 or above  A “C” or better in a community college mathematics course that satisfies the quantitative reasoning requirement (GE requirement B-4).  A status of READY (or CONDITIONALLY READY) on the CSU’s Early Assessment in Mathematics  A passing score on the CSU’s Entry Level Mathematics examination (ELM)

 March: Students sit for the EAP English essay. The essay may be administered on multiple days at any school site.  April: Students take the CST + EAP.  Summer: ETS scores the exams.  August: ETS delivers EAP results to district offices.  EAP district roster, with students grouped by school  2 copies of STAR student reports  STAR student CD-ROM  Transcript labels do NOT include EAP results  Then: Districts mail STAR student reports to students’ homes. One copy stays in students’ files at school. Released results are matched to applications in CSUMentor and available for online look-up.

 SENIORS CAN CHECK THEIR EAP STATUS ONLINE   Use your CSU Mentor username and password to log in.
