By changing teaching strategy and applying 21 st century approaches students will be able to:  Recognize map signs and symbols  Recognize different types of lines  Recognize special characters  Recognize height and depression trajectories

CHALLENGES Some of the students may not show interest in reading maps. Some students may complain about the quality of a printed map provided. Some teachers may not cooperate to conduct special classes for this purpose Suitable teaching support material may not available SOLUTIONS Group work is a good solution for such students. Better quality maps and atlas may be provided by the school. Study periods may be exchanged with them to ease the situation New and better material could be purchased for the smooth conduction of the classes.
