OSMS MODULES The Software for Online Scholarship Management System (OSMS) for Pre Matric Post Matric scholarship scheme would function on five district modules viz (i) Student Module (ii) Institute Module (iii) District Module (iv) State Department Module (v) Central Module

Eligible Courses Prematric ScholarshipPostmatric scholarship 1 St Std to X th Std.a) School Level : XI, XII and Vocational courses of XI and XII level b) College Level : ITI/ITC, NCVT, Polytechnic, Diploma in Nursing, Teacher Training, UG / PG/ M.Phil, Ph.D. Couses (Other than Professional courses covered in MCM scholarship)

Eligibility Criteria Student should belong to Religious Minorities viz.. Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi & Jain Student should be domicile of Tamil Nadu Marks : Student should obtain minimum 50% of marks in the previous year final exam (ie if the student currently studying Ist year Degree, then he should have obtain 50% of marks in XII Std) Parent / Guardian Annual Income from all sources : Prematric scholarship : Rs. 1 lakhs Postmatric Scholarship : Rs. 2 lakhs

ONLINE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM FOR SCHOLARSHIP 1. Online submission of application form can be done through the Website from any of the internet access points. (For better visibility use Chrome, Fire fox, Internet Explorer 7 and above) 2. Click on “STUDENT LOGIN” on Home page.

A new web Page requesting to Enter the preliminary data as required for the Registration is displayed. Fill all the details corresponding to the titles/Labels appearing on the page. (those marked as “ *” are mandatory &‘#’ – any one of the fields is mandatory (fathers/Mothers/Guardian atleast one name should be given)

1. Domicile State (UT), 2 Student Name 3. Father Name, 4. Mother Name, 5 Guardian Name, 6. Date of Birth, 7. Gender, 8. Religion, 9. Community, 10. Aadhaar Number, 11. ID, 12. Mobile Number ( Do not prefix Zero / any STD code. Only 10 digit allowed), 13. Enter Captcha. And Click Submit button

Web Page displays TEMPORARY Registration No. of the Applicant. Click “PROCEED” Button to move on to the next Page. NOTE- It is Mandatory to retain the TEMPORARY –ID ( till the time of the final application Submission Only) as it will be needed for editing the specific details in the Online scholarship Application. Once the PERMANENT ID is Generated, then the student will not be able to edit the Details.

Click on PROCEED button will take you to the new Web Page as shown below. OR You can Re-Login using TEMPORARY-ID and Date Of Birth

Enter the applicable option form drop Down. Whether Orphan / Whether Disabled. Enter Parent and Student Income. After filling details save and continue

Course Year (If your selected college enter the Duration of course year 1/2/3), 10. Date of Admission, 11.Admission Type. 12. Day Scholars / Hosteller, 13. Distance from Residence.

1. Previous Place of Study, 2. Academic Qualification, 3. State, 4. University / Board, 5. District, 6. Block, 7. Institutions, 8. Course Class Name, 9. Year of passing, 10. Hall Ticket / Roll No. 11. Percentage / Grade, 12. Total Marks. 13. Obtained Marks. Save and Continue

A new page requesting to upload your Photo, Previous Year Mark Sheets, income certificate, Bank Pass Book First Page and Religion certificate will be displayed as shown. Upload necessary documents corresponding to the titles. All the documents must be uploaded in JPEG& other formats and the size must not be grater than 100 KB. A Button named as SHOW REQUIRED DOCUMENTS when clicked, will display the mandatory documents that are to be uploaded.

Under the tab BANK DETAILS. Choose State, District in which applicant holds the bank account and Bank Name, IFSC code from drop down Only. Account No. must be filled very carefully and re-checked as there will be no provision to amend it there after. Wrong Account No. will lead to disqualification of student for scholarship for current financial year. Note – For any query contact the National Scholarships Portal Help Desk Numbers – (501 /502 /503 /504 /505

Under the Tab Contact Details- Enter your Current residing and Permanent Address. Fill up the relevant information corresponding to the titles.

Confirm & Submit Tick Mark the Check Box as provided to confirm the declaration as given and Click CONFIRM & SUBMIT to end the Application process. Your application is successfully submitted and a new Web Page displaying your Permanent Registration No. will be displayed. Retain your Permanent Registration Number for future process. Note - Students should take the print of the Application and submit to the Institution with enclose.

INSTITUTION ENTRY Enter URL - the web browser Institute can log-in by using the Institute/User ID and Password under the menu Official Login Enter the Institute-ID, Password and Captcha Code as displayed (Example : TN-C00551, guest123# ( PASSWORD SHOULD NOT CONTAIN ), click on LOGIN.

Once Successfully logged in the National Scholarships Portal – It is recommended that the Institute Nodal Officer change the default password as issued. The user can enter its own password as desired and Update the Password as desired. How to Update the Password ? After login, On the Home Screen enter the Current Password and then enter the New Password. ( Eg:- chennai-123) The user is supposed to enter and confirm the new password as entered and click on the ‘Update Password’ NOTE - Kindly note the Login Credentials for further use. - Current Password and the New Password cannot be same.

Institute checks for the authencity of the Student application an Verifies all the Scanned copies of the Documents uploaded on the National Scholarships Portal and verifies/ Scrutinizes against the originals. Go to and Click on the ‘Student Application Verification’ on the Left Hand side of the web page as shown Below. The dashboard showing the status of applications corresponding to the Schemes will displayed as shown in Screen Shot below

Firstly to verify the Student Application the Institutions must click on the Link “Click here to View the Scanned Documents ” As shown in the above Screen Shot. Click on the Arrow for viewing other scanned documents. Pre Matric / Post Matric * Name of the Scheme

Click here to forward the student application Once the User clicks on the ‘Forward button’ : – A Pop Up Box is displayed named as ‘Verification Check List’ – Under which Different documents such as (Student Photo, Previous Year Mark sheet, fee Receipt, Disability certificate etc ) is displayed. All the Documents hereby mentioned in the Verification Checklist has to be verified by the Institute. If the Scanned document as mentioned in the Pop up box are verified successfully, then the user can click on the ‘Yes’ or else ‘No’

If the Scanned document as mentioned in the Pop up box are verified then the user can click on ‘YES’ and click on the forward button

In case of the ‘NO’ Option Selected or the Institute is not satisfied with the Documents as Uploaded by the student,then in such case the Institute Nodal Officer/Admin can send the application for the Student to ‘Edit’ or ‘Permanently Reject’ the student Application. Once the student is ‘Permanently Rejected’ then from there on the Student application will not be sent for further processing. The institute can click on ‘Re-Verify’ In case it wants the student to Edit certain Details or Upload the Documents. In case of Re-verify option – the student will only be able to Edit his/her Bank Details ( In case bank Account number non operative) and Upload documents Only. * No other changes to the Personal details /Academic Details /Address Details is allowed The Institute Nodal Officer /Admin must mention the appropriate Reason in case of ‘Permanent Rejection’ and ‘Re-verify’

UPDATING COURSE & INTITUTE DETAILS :– Click on the ‘Institute’ Link on the Left Hand Side of the Web Page Once clicked – A New Webpage is Displayed as shown below in the Screen shot- The Institute can also update or edit the Courses as offered and the respective fee structure Detailed Procedure to Add/Edit Courses are described Below – To Add courses – Click on the ‘Add/Edit’ button under the Courses column A new Web Page is Displayed as shown Below

Select the respective Affiliated ‘University’ Select the ‘Course Level’ Click on ‘Show Courses’ Button A Complete List of Courses is Displayed as per the course Level Selected – NOTE – Those Marked Green Indicated that the Institute is currently Offering those courses to the Students

The Institute Nodal Officer can select the Courses as per the List Displayed by clicking on the Check Box as provided against the Course Name. Once the required courses are Selected Scroll Down and click on ‘Update’

How to ADD/EDIT Course Fees ? Click on the ‘Institutions’ Link on the Left Hand Side of the Web Page Once clicked – A New Webpage is Displayed as shown below in the Screen shot- The Institute can also update, add or edit the Fees for the Courses as offered Detailed Procedure to Add/Edit Fees for the Courses is described Below –

To Update/Edit Fees for Courses – Click on ‘Change’ Button Under the Institute Course Fee A New Web page is Displayed - Select the Course name and Course Year for which the Fees needs to be added or Updated Enter the fees for the following – Tuition Fees, Admission Fees, Library Fees, Examination Fees, Non refundable Fees Once the Fees is entered then click on ‘Save’ The fees for the Corresponding Course have been Updated and saved Other Details for the Institute is Displayed such as Institute Name, Institute ID, AISHE Code, Website Phone Number, etc., In Order to edit or update any of the details – the User can click on the Details and Update the Necessary details and click on ‘Update’ for the changes to reflect.

Click on the link “Update Your Profile” – A new Web Page is displayed as shown Above. The Institute can Update the Contact Details and Address details if required. Once Updated click on the ‘Save Profile’ button. Institutes can set & receive ‘Alerts’ – Alerts can be customized on a monthly, weekly, Daily Basis. Alerts are basically to let the Institutes Know the New Student Applications as registered in the National Scholarships Portal or Applications Verifications Pending at the College/Institute Level.

District Nodal Officer APPLICATION VERIFICATION This tab enables the District Nodal Officer to view the list of Student’s sent from Institute. The Officer will verify the documents,approve/reject the application. For the application verification,follow the below mentioned steps.

Select Drop Down Step 1:Fill up all the relevant Information in the space provided as shown above. Step 2 : Academic Year : Select Scheme : PREMATRIC / POST MATRIC Institution Location : Select Domicile State/ Other State Application Type : Fresh/ Renewal

Step 3: Select Get Application to see the list of Applicant registered from that particular District which will be displayed as shown below. District Nodal Officer will be able to access the list of applicants as shown below. Step 1: Select the icon as shown above, a pop up will be displayed as shown below where the Nodal Officer will select Yes/No according to the certificates being presented by an applicant
