______________________________________________ Meeting CLAS12 March 2011 The 12 GeV upgrade: CLAS12 CLAS12 Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) studies are one of the leading programs of the Jefferson Lab Upgrade providing information on the 3D quark/gluon structure of the nucleon and can be accessed by studying exclusive reactions as Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS). A neutron detector to study DVCS on the neutron (never measured so far) Barrel of scintillators to detect recoil neutrons. Challenge: intense magnetic field (5T). Long bent light guides and “U-turn” to take the light out  Experiment approved in January 2011 IN2P3 in collaboration with INFN and Glasgow
