A constant flow of new technologies is making its way into the car New technologies for the car – its well beyond the touchscreen and voice controls Gestures Eye Tracking/Controls Natural Language Tactile Displays 3-D Augmented Bookmarking etc.

Challenges remain with existing technology The push for new technologies does not eliminate existing concerns Poorly integrated and non-intuitive solutions Slow reaction time Difficulty connecting to the vehicle Driver distraction Costs etc. Benchmarking/Testing Scenario: How long until music is available to stream over BT?

The HMI will be more important than ever in the future With new technologies entering the car Car2X Autonomous Driving ADAS Connectivity etc. The HMI of the next generation of vehicles will be more important and dominant than ever and the possibilities for a truly custom and unique driver experience endless
